Digital X-rays work like regular dental X-rays, but faster and with less radiation. Dr. Bouz gets the image instantly and pulls it up on a screen in the room with you.

The Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a small camera that fits comfortably in your mouth and sends a live picture to a screen next to your chair. Dr. Bouz uses it during your exam so you can see exactly what he’s talking about in real time.
What this means for you: You see a cracked filling or a spot of decay yourself, at the same time Dr. Bouz does.
A Full 3D View for Bigger Decisions
CBCT Scans
For more complex situations, like planning a dental implant, Dr. Bouz uses a CBCT scanner (cone beam CT), a type of 3D scan. A regular X-ray gives a flat, two-dimensional image. A CBCT scan builds a full 3D model of your jawbone and teeth, showing:
How much bone you have
Where your nerves and sinuses sit
Exactly where each tooth sits
What this means for you: Dr. Bouz can plan treatment with precision and help you understand why he’s recommending it.
